CaCO3
Improves crop growth.

Agricultural lime neutralizes soil pH, helping to eliminate soil acidity.

Neutralizing

Balances soil acidity to create optimal conditions for crop growth.

Increases microorganism activity

Promotes the growth of beneficial soil microorganisms.

Releases nutrients

Agricultural lime helps release essential nutrients for plants, such as phosphorus.

From the sea directly to your crops

We use the shellfish meat for food production and recycle the shells to produce our agricultural lime.

Neutral pH

The importance of agricultural lime (calcium carbonate, CaCO₃, derived from shellfish shells) for the soils of southern Chile lies in addressing the natural acidity of these soils. Although they are rich in nutrients, their high acidity limits nutrient availability and plant growth.

This agronomic condition begins in the VIII Region, where soil pH is generally below 6. In the IX and X Regions, pH values are even lower, making soil acidity correction even more important. In the XI Region, near Aysén, and in the podzolic soils of the XII Region, the need for agricultural lime is also significant to improve soil fertility and crop productivity.
